Tube settlers are common in rectangular clarifiers, where they increase the settling surface area of particles. This works by means of increasing the vertical distance the particle will have to move before settling. By the use of parallel tubes, tube settlers make upward water movement to be uniform.
The main purpose of a settler is to facilitate sedimentation by reducing the velocity and turbulence of the wastewater stream. Settlers are circular or rectangular tanks that are typically designed for a hydraulic retention time of 1.5-2.5 h.

Tube settlers, also called lamella clarifiers, are used to remove solids in wastewater treatment. Tube settlers use multiple tubular channels sloped at an angle of 60° and adjacent to each other, This design multiplies the sedimentation area up to 15 times per square meter surface area and helps to improve sedimentation in water and wastewater treatment plants.
Lamella tube settler media is also called Honeycomb inclined tube packing or hexagonal inclined tube settler, which is a kind of settling tank packing designed and developed based on the theory of “shallow sedimentation”. The tube settler packing has a large wet cycle, small hydraulic radius, and good laminar flow state during operation so that the particle settling is not disturbed by turbulence, which can accelerate the separation of particles from the water and shorten the precipitation distance of particles.
Using the PP/PVC/FRP/SS304 as material, the tubes are made by hot pressing and cut into accurate size.




The tube settler is normally used for water supply purification and wastewater treatment for wastewater from chemical plant sewage, domestic sewage plants, coal mine and coal washing plants, power plant concentration pools, pharmaceutical plants, paper mills as well as sand and rapid precipitation, oil separation, etc.
It is suitable for both new projects and the reconstruction of existing old ponds and can achieve good economic benefits.
